Distinguished is a super premium, fully fortified, textured feed formulated for the senior horse and other horses with specialized needs. Manufactured with optimum levels of soluble fibers and oils, Distinguished provides a significant boost in calories over conventional sweet feeds.
The increase of soluble fiber comes from a variety of ideal fiber sources including beet pulp, soy hulls, and premium chopped hay. The addition of oil to these unique fiber combinations provides the horse with long-lasting, slow energy release and controlled performance.
Distinguished is fortified with Stamm 30®, the industry’s most highly valued equine protein, vitamin and mineral supplement. Stamm 30 supplies high levels of bioavailable microminerals, a proprietary blend of equine specific yeasts, a natural source of the antioxidant vitamin E and bioavailable selenium. Distinguished includes elevated levels of antioxidants and rejuvenating properties from an increased dose of vitamin C. Aspergillus oryzae provides increased fiber digestibility and efficiency, microbial enzyme activity, and overall health and wellness. Distinguished is unique in its highly concentrated fortification and can be fed at a minimum four pounds feeding rate to meet nutritional requirements.
DistinguishedTM is a fully fortified textured feed. It is not necessary to add additional protein, vitamin or mineral supplements if this feed is fed as directed. Feed at a minimum rate of 4 pounds per day and increase depending on the intensity of work, size, and body condition of the horse. If individual feeding levels drop below the recommended rate, consult Hallway Feeds on the use of a protein, vitamin and mineral supplement, ie Stamm 30®. DistinguishedTM is designed to be offered along side forage to provide a balanced diet and to do so should be fed with a minimum of 1.5% of bodyweight per day of high quality forage (hay, pasture, hay cubes).
